About Maria
Born and raised in New England, Maria Boisvert developed her interest in art at an early age. Her talent for drawing and painting was recognized and encouraged by her instructors throughout her academic years. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art and Sociology at Plattsburg State University with Dean List status for her outstanding accomplishments and artistic achievements. During this period, her exhibits included Ballard Mill Center for the arts in Malone, New York; Malone Gallery; Plattsburg State University Gallery; and various groups in the greater Hartford, Connecticut area.
Maria moved to San Jose, California in 1979, where she worked as an Art Consultant with Chabot Galleries. Over the past 22 years, in addition to pursuing her love of "fine art," Maria has developed a successful career as a Senior Vice President - Financial Consultant. While juxtaposed, art and finance seem worlds apart, Maria believes the two have created the perfect marriage in her life. Art has lent sensitivity to her business, which has helped her better serve clients. Business has balanced her view of the world. From her appreciation of the California landscape, to the people she has encountered abroad, Maria has successfully captured the beauty and culture that surrounds her. Her works are in private collections throughout California and the East Coast
